Last week, I also picked up an EVH Wolfgang Standard Exotic in Spalted Maple in mint condition, with a hard case included. This will be my first foray into the world of Eddie Van Halen guitars, and I’m kind of excited about it. It looks to be a very fun guitar to play, and the looks are off the chart gorgeous.
The EVH Wolfgang Standard Exotic Spalted Maple Guitar provides exceptional craftsmanship with jaw-dropping aesthetics. It delivers a basswood body with special “comfort cut” forearm contour for maximum playing ease, along with attractive masked-off natural body binding and a distinctive spalted maple top.
The bolt-on baked maple neck with graphite reinforcement rods hold strong against the ravages of temperature and humidity, while a conveniently located spoke wheel at the base of the neck makes for quick and painless truss rod adjustments.
Designed for comfortable playability and speed, it also features an oiled finish on the back of the neck and a 12″-16″ compound radius baked maple fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays.
